Monitor Children on the Internet Tips

    1. First, use some common sense to monitor your children on the Internet the easy way. For instance, simply place the computer in a public area perhaps the kitchen where you can monitor them. Some children will complain loudly but these are your rules. They live under your house, right? You’re the boss. Enforce the rules and be firm yet let your children understand that you love them too. To help you with this process create an Internet contract that establishes your house rules. This will clearly outline what are your responsibilities and what are their responsibilities for their Internet usage. You can also state that they should contact you if they encounter any inappropriate material or people which makes them feel uncomfortable.
    2. Secondly, a good program will help you monitor your children on the Internet. There are several and some are free yet I’m always a believer in paying for good software. If you can afford Internet access for your children then you can afford good monitoring software. The cost is generally around $30 or $40 per year which works out to 10 cents or less a day. Really, there is no excuse to not purchase one. Whichever you choose, the following is a list of features you should seek for in a good children’s Internet monitoring program:
      1. Blocking or filtering – this prevents your children from viewing inappropriate webpages or ones that you haven’t approved of.
      2. ISP children Internet monitoring programs – some ISPs such as AOL will provide software that will help you with monitoring your children’s Internet activity. Ask your ISP if they do provide one. The ones provided by the ISP usually are not as feature-rich as the paid ones out there.
      3. Time-of-day monitoring – this Internet monitoring feature will restrict access to the Internet to only certain times of the day. For instance, if you’re at work and you’re children are at home then you can disable Internet access till you get home.
      4. Keylogging – this will allow you to monitor your children’s keystrokes and Internet browsing which can be saved for later viewing. So if your children need access when you’re not at home then you can always view what they typed and what sites they have visited.
      5. Pop-up blockers – there are many pop-up blockers out there. These are specially designed to stop many porn-related pop-ups.
      6. Stop the spam – we have all received spam and I’m certain still do. This can significantly reduce the amount of spam and especially the ones that are porn, gambling and drug-related material. A great time-saver.
      7. Filter vital information – you can keep online predators at bay by blocking important information, like names, addresses and phone numbers being revealed and removing objectionable words in chat and instant messaging programs. A must-have feature because you never know what information your children are giving out. You want to stop this information before it’s given out!
      8. Built-in anti-spyware – this will keep other programs that have been surreptitiously loaded on your computer.
      9. Filter out search engine results – some good Internet, children-monitoring software will filter out bad words and pornographic sites from the search engine results such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Monitoring your children on the Internet can be done automatically with good software but do not rely on this as the sole means. This is not a panacea. You really need to sit down and talk with your children. Even browse with them for awhile to understand what sites they like to visit and what they search for online. Tell them not to give out personal information including address, phone number, the school they attend or the teams they play on. Get to know their online friends. If they insist on meeting someone they met online make certain that you meet this new friend and the meeting will occur in a public place. When they see inappropriate material online or when someone makes them feel uneasy such as a bully or a potential predator get them to speak with you. Monitoring your children on the Internet doesn’t have to be a full-time job. You just need to use prudence and enforce some basic rules with your children.

Internet Tips and Techniques

One of the greatest things about the Internet is all of these tips, tricks, and techniques that we’re sharing are so low-cost or even no cost that when you fail you lose very little – or even no money whatsoever. That’s the best way to fail! The PERFECT product that can make you financially independent for life must be something unique that people can’t get anywhere else. It must be compelling enough to make people want to send you their money through the mail. It must be compelling enough to get people captivated with the product and make them feel that they can buy it sight unseen. You have to be careful when saying it is free. You don’t want to charge too high of a processing fee, but you can charge a processing fee to cover your fees of the cost of getting it on the Internet and getting it set up.

Another powerful factor when it comes to placing these banner ads on your site, is that although you may worry about them being cluttered up, it makes your site look commercially viable. You will have advertisers all over your site! This could, literally, attract other paying advertisers because advertisers want to be where advertisers are! This is more akin to what they call “viral marketing” where your visitors are telling a friend, “Hey, here’s a neat site I found, you ought to go visit it,” and they’re being rewarded for it. Not only that, but it also encourages the friend. There will be a place to click to add it to their favemail which takes them over to set up and download your banner so they can send it on.

There are also a lot of marketing companies who have put together compilations of sales letters because people are always looking at how somebody else sold a particular product, what type of guarantee, or what type of pricing they used. Having a compilation of sales letters from other companies, especially if they’re successful sales letters, really helps. Those types of products sell very well.

First of all, you need to decide on one or two topics (subject areas) that really interest you. It should be something that you enjoy reading about. Let’s look at small business home office operations as an example. If small business home office operations are really interesting and fascinating for you, then go out and make a list of the best selling books in that subject area right now that are in the book stores or just coming out. Get copies of those books! While you’re at it, make arrangements to become a book seller. If you don’t know how to do that, you can contact the American Book Sellers Association. They have some nice handbooks and literature that tells you exactly how to do this.

We’ve discussed in many different manuals and cassettes what an outstanding and powerful reference tool the big Standard Rate and Data Service (SRDS) directories are, and now we can now bring those directories to get tremendous publicity for our articles and our news releases. The best way to price your service would probably be by the page. You could charge a certain amount per page for proofreading and checking a web site. While you are at it, you might also check to see that all their links are working. Anything that you can add in value to the site that says, “I caught a mistake,” “I caught something you overlooked,” “Here’s a bad link,” “Here’s a misspelled word,” “Here’s a grammatical error,” etc.

If you’d like to have an overview on your web page describing the book, it’s very, very easy to find the information… just look at the book’s jacket! If the book is hardcover and comes with the paper cover – known as a “dust cover” – the inside flaps will have information on what the book is about, quotes from reviewers, and author information. Very few people lie on their deathbed wishing that they had worked harder, or made more money for their boss, or spent more time at the office. Most people would have rather enjoyed their lives. They would have liked to gone on longer vacations, had more time with their family, lived in a nicer home, driven nicer cars, had the trappings that come with success.

The first thing those people are going to see when they load up your website is your headline. If the website’s headline doesn’t grab their attention – if it doesn’t excite them or make them curious and pull them into that webpage’s copy – then you might as well kiss most of those visitors goodbye without a sale! This way you actually become a broker for them. You don’t have to put any cash up front. You tell them that you can sell it for them. Maybe you work with one exclusive vendor or person that has these products that you can sell and you help them sell all of their products on the Internet.

Anyway, her comment got him thinking about it, and he expanded on that idea, of course. He saw this spark and he said “Man, I could not only serve her needs, but if she’s got this need, other people have this need.” And that’s the “how” in this whole story. He realized that if she needed this, other people needed it, too.

I want to give you a very brief, very vibrant example of someone using this. There was a gentleman that had a web site. He is a great marketer and he always tells a passionate story. Instead of just telling people that he was going to give them a discount, he would tell them why he was going to give them a discount.

5 Internet Tips Every Direct Sales Consultant Should Implement

If you’re starting a new direct sales business and feeling overwhelmed with web 2.0, you’re not alone. You’re already busy setting up your business and now you’ve got to think about having an online presence too. Where do you start, right? I can relate because I was trying to implement everything at once and felt so burnt out. To be successful, you don’t need to do everything i.e. pay per click, article marketing, video marketing, social media, and so forth. You can always add on. Keep it simple and implement a few things.

Keep your focus on mastering a few things like setting up a blog or web site. It’s better to be an expert on a few topics rather than being a generalist and doing everything with mediocrity.

Here are 5 tips to have an online presence:

Set up a Blog

There’s a ton of online resources on blogging. Whether to choose WordPress or Blogger, why blogs increase more traffic then a static web site, and so much more. You will find more info than I could offer in this short post. However, here are three tips: narrow your topic to a few “niche” ones or on topics that you have a lot of knowledge in. You cannot be an expert and cover everything! Concentrate on writing great content and continue learning copy/ad writing. Plan on adding at least 2-3 posts a week to beef up the content of your blog. Until you have enough content, some blog search engines like BlogCatalog won’t accept your blog submission. Some excellent blogs to check out are: Copyblogger, Problogger.net, and Dailyblogtips. Commenting on other blogs in your niche market is a really good way to build rapport with other bloggers and learn from them too.

Syndicate Everywhere

Content is king and so is syndication! The importance of syndicating your blog will increase your search engine rankings and create more visibility for your blog. If you’re not indexed by search engines i.e. Google, Yahoo, RSS directories, or blog search engines then you’re not being found by your prospects, customers, and potential business partners that are looking to join your business.

Tip: think keywords and search words or phrases whenever you’re writing but don’t fill every single line with keywords either. Balancing strong keywords and writing in a way that’s engaging to your audience. Don’t write just to fill up space.

Social Networks

If you do a search for social networks, your head will spin because there are so many. Invest in building genuine relationships on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. Facebook to me is more friend-ish and Twitter can get you spammed by a ton of peeps promoting their business opportunities and products. I’m becoming a huge of LinkedIn and the potential of LinkedIn’s groups. Sometimes smaller niche social networks will give you greater visibility in reaching a more targeted audience.

Tip: Don’t get sucked into socializing because it will be counter productive. You can be productive and socialize by keeping it to 30 minutes a day on social networks. With Twitter, focus on Retweeting if you find something valuable and use @reply to engage with your followers and start having conversations. Do NOT spam your followers or constantly promote your products or business opportunity.

Niche Social Networks

Niche social networks can be a great resource to meet people in your niche market. Ning offers thousands of groups and LinkedIn is excellent and has huge potential. There are forums for direct sales and network marketing entrepreneurs. Groups are also a good place to meet people that are selling similar products or share similar interests. For example, WAHM forum has thousands of members that are in direct sales and network marketing. If you’re in the clothing or fashion business, you might check out Stylehive, which has a community, tags, and group for like-minded people. Social bookmarking sites are underutilized and quite effective!

Leverage a Community

Start commenting on other blogs in direct sales. Add their blogs to your Blogroll, link to their posts often, syndicate by Retweeting or share with your Facebook friends. Your direct sales pals will appreciate it if the content is relevant and valuable. Reach out to your team members and uplines that have blogs. Ask them to link your blog to theirs and network with fellow consultants. As long as your goal is to help build each other’s business, the collaboration will enhance your business and you’ll develop new friendships too.

How You Can Make Money With The Internet

The Internet is undoubtedly an important tool in today’s digital age. With the creation of laptops, smartphones and tablets, almost anyone can stay connected anywhere in the world. You can read the latest news, play the newest games, meet new friends and watch movies and listen to music with the availability of the Internet. The online world also opens the doors for businesses and employers to reach a global market. Making money with the Internet is another important function of this phenomenal tool.

You can make money with the Internet through many ways. Firstly, you can choose to run your own virtual business; this will likely mean creating your own website and your very own virtual boutique or store. Many people choose to start online businesses due to the large market. Instead of just selling to people in the neighborhood, you can sell to the entire world with the help of the Internet, meaning that people from the other edge of the globe will be able to buy your products. And with a variety of online payment and shipping companies, you can be sure that you receive your payment and your goods arrive in the hands of your customer in good condition. Besides that, another reason why people choose to start an online business is due to the lower cost. With an online business, you do not need to pay for rental, utilities or insurance; also you do not have to worry about robberies or thefts. Your online business is run solely by you, thus giving you peace of mind and the ability to control the entire operation.

Some people will choose to work for others by becoming an employee. There are a wide variety of job positions on the Internet like bloggers, writers, engineers, designers and many others. Take some time to search for various online job openings. List down several positions that interest you and make a comparison. Choose one that gives you the best pay and the one that you will enjoy doing. Some freelancers can hold several online jobs at once; this allows them to maximize their earning potential.

If you want to start your own business but do not know what to sell, you should definitely consider becoming an affiliate for an online company. There are many businesses which sells goods and services with the help of partners or agents. By becoming an affiliate with the company, you will be given exclusive rights to market the goods and use the name of a company. If you are selling a good quality and well-known product, you can be sure that you will have the best chance of generating a lot of revenue. Another benefit of becoming an affiliate is that you should receive training and guidance on how to run your business.
